Quantitative and Applied Ecology focuses on using robust quantitative methods to answer environmental problems ranging from ecology and conservation science to risk assessment and biosecurity. Within the Quantitative and Applied Ecology group the Centre of Excellence for Environmental Decisions and the National Environmental Science Programme Threatened Species Recovery Hub focus on decision-making and acting to conserve biodiversity, while the Centre of Excellence in Biosecurity Risk Analysis works with the Australian and New Zealand government agencies to underpin policies with world-class research.
