Distribution (from Flora of Victoria): Vic, SNOW, EG - also NSW, Tas.

Restricted to the montane-subalpine-alpine zone where it grows on damp mud, in sphagnum bogs and in depressions in wet heathland and grassland, sometimes submerged in temporary pools.
