Original identification:  Sheet 44: Eucalyptus niphophila.  Sheet 45: Eucalyptus pauciflora; E. coriacea.

Distribution (from Flora of Victoria): Vic, WAN, GR, MID, VOLC, OTPL, EHL, SNOW, GPL, EG - also SA, Qld, NSW, Tas.

The widespread Snow Gum in Victoria. The species is common at high altitudes (up to the upper altitudinal limit for tree growth) in the Eastern Highlands, Mt Buffalo, Pine Mountain, the higher peaks of the Pyrenees, the Grampians, but also known from lowland areas in the Latrobe Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Deans Marsh, Durdiwarrah, the Lower Glenelg River, and on the basalt plain north of Ballarat.
